YOUR own website is as essential in business as having a cellphone today, with more people search on-line for what they’re looking for. However smaller businesses sometimes may find the cost of between R5 thousand and R40 thousand unaffordable.

Enters Woza Online, a free tool to help small businesses set up their own professional website in just an hour or two.

This initiative of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Vodacom, Google and the Human Resources Development Council of South Africa aims to lower the barriers for small businesses to set up a website and benefit from the advantages of the internet – and in so doing, grow the digital economy in South Africa.

Since the start of South African Business Woza Online, no less than 25 thousand businesses have been assisted in starting up their own websites.

Woza Online offers you a free website with your own .co.za domain and free on-going web education and training. The nice thing about Woza Online is that you do not have to be tech-savvy to set up your website. It only takes two simple steps to get started. You can also change and update your website anytime you want.

You first need to have a Gmail account. If you do not have a Gmail account yet, go to www.gmail.com and open an account. Or you can open your Gmail account from the Woza Online website at www.wozaonline.co.za.

On the Woza Online website you are directly through the simple steps of creating your own website. You simply create your website by following the easy to understand instructions.

Of course you’ll have to provide the basic information about your business yourself. This Woza Online can’t produce on your behalf!

When you have uploaded the content of your website, you select your own design for your website and add information about the specific products and services your business offers.

The final step is simple… just click the publish button and you’re on-line.

Get fully in step with the digital age! Go to Woza Online at www.wozaonline.co.za.
